Technical Pain Points

Small Technical Gaps Can Become Costly Pressure Vessel Project Problems

Many pressure vessel issues do not start on the shop floor. They start earlier, when the code, medium, pressure, material, nozzle layout or inspection scope is not clear enough before quotation and fabrication.

01
Code Risk

Project Standard Is Not Confirmed Early

If the required code or acceptance rule is not clear at the start, the quotation may miss design, inspection or documentation scope.

Common Problem Code, third-party inspection and document requirements are discussed too late.
Clarify First Required standard, destination market, inspection authority and final document list.
02
Material Risk

Material Is Selected Only By Price

Pressure vessel material should match the medium, corrosion risk, temperature, cleaning method and service life expectation.

Common Problem The vessel looks acceptable on paper, but the material is not suitable for the real medium.
Clarify First Medium, concentration, temperature, corrosion allowance and hygiene requirement.
03
Design Data

Pressure And Temperature Data Changes Later

Design pressure, operating pressure, temperature and working cycle affect vessel sizing, wall thickness, nozzle layout and cost.

Common Problem New process data appears after the quote, causing redesign or price adjustment.
Clarify First Design pressure, operating pressure, design temperature and process cycle.
04
Layout Risk

Nozzle, Manhole Or Support Details Are Missing

Small vessel details can affect installation, piping connection, maintenance access and on-site fit.

Common Problem The vessel is manufactured, but nozzles or supports do not match the installation layout.
Clarify First Nozzle list, orientation, manhole, supports, agitator interface and installation space.
05
Welding & NDT

Inspection Scope Is Not Planned Before Fabrication

Welding control, NDT, pressure testing and inspection records should be confirmed before production starts.

Common Problem Testing or report requirements are added after fabrication has already moved forward.
Clarify First NDT method, hydrostatic test, welding records, material certificates and inspection report.
06
Delivery Risk

Final Documents Are Requested Too Late

Export projects often need a clear document package for customs, acceptance, installation and future maintenance.

Common Problem The equipment is ready, but shipment or acceptance is delayed by missing documents.
Clarify First MTC, pressure test report, NDT records, drawings, packing list and operation documents.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Usually Ask Before A Pressure Vessel Project

These answers are written for buyers who need a practical starting point before sending a quotation request. You do not need to prepare everything perfectly before contacting us.

Before You Quote

Start With The Basics

Equipment type, medium, capacity, pressure, temperature, material and drawings are usually enough for our team to begin a technical review.

Can I ask for a quote if I do not have a complete drawing?

Yes. A complete drawing is helpful, but it is not always required at the first step. You can start by sending the equipment type, medium, capacity, working pressure, working temperature and material requirement. If you only have a process idea or an old equipment photo, we can still review it and tell you what details are needed next.

What information should I send first for a pressure vessel quotation?

The most useful information is simple: what the vessel will hold, how much volume you need, the working pressure, the working temperature, the material you prefer and whether you need ASME or other standards. If you already have a drawing, datasheet or P&ID, send it together. It helps us reduce back-and-forth and prepare a clearer quote.

Can you help me choose the right material?

Yes. Material selection depends on the medium, temperature, pressure, cleaning method and corrosion risk. Stainless steel, carbon steel and lined vessels are not chosen only by price. If the material is not clear, tell us what the equipment will be used for, and our team can help check which direction is more suitable.

Do I need an ASME pressure vessel?

It depends on your country, project requirement and end user acceptance rules. Some projects require ASME documentation. Some only need a custom pressure vessel built to project specifications. If you are not sure, send us the project location and basic operating conditions, and we can help you check what should be considered before manufacturing.

Can you manufacture according to my existing drawing?

Yes. If you already have a drawing, we can review the structure, nozzles, material, welding requirements and testing requirements before quotation. If something is unclear or not suitable for fabrication, we will point it out before production instead of waiting until the vessel is already being made.

What if my project needs a custom vessel, not a standard product?

Most pressure vessels are not exactly the same. We can manufacture vessels, reactors, storage tanks, heat exchangers, towers, separators and skids based on your process requirement. The important part is to confirm the working conditions first, then match the structure, material, thickness, nozzles and inspection plan.

What documents can you provide with the equipment?

For pressure vessel projects, documents may include material certificates, welding records, inspection reports, pressure test records, drawings and packing documents. The exact document package depends on the project standard and buyer requirement. If your project needs specific documents for approval or customs clearance, tell us before production.

Can you review my medium and working conditions before I place an order?

Yes. That is usually the right way to start. Pressure, temperature and medium affect material choice, wall thickness, sealing method, nozzle design and testing requirements. A short technical review before quotation can help avoid wrong equipment selection and later changes.

How long does it take to get a quotation?

If the basic parameters are clear, we can usually review the requirement faster. If the project involves special material, high pressure, corrosion risk, complex internals or strict documents, we may need more time to check the details before giving a reliable quote. A clear drawing or datasheet always helps speed up the process.

Can I send only a product name, such as reactor or storage tank?

You can, but the quote will not be accurate with only a product name. A 1,000L reactor for food processing and a 1,000L reactor for chemical reaction can be very different. To give a useful quote, we need to know the medium, pressure, temperature, material, capacity and whether mixing, heating, cooling or insulation is required.
