Insulated Storage Tanks
For products that need temperature holding during storage, waiting time or transfer between process steps.
Vertical Storage Tanks
A space-saving choice for larger capacity storage, plant rooms and production lines with limited floor space.
Horizontal Storage Tanks
Suitable for low-height installation, transport-mounted systems or process layouts where vertical height is limited.
Which Storage Tank Do You Need?
A storage tank is not selected by capacity alone. The right design depends on what you store, how the material behaves, how the tank connects with your process, and what cleaning or safety requirements must be met.
What Will Be Stored Inside the Tank?
The medium is the first thing we check. Water, food ingredients, solvents, acids, alkalis, resins and viscous liquids all need different material choices, surface finishes and nozzle designs.
Information We Need
- Medium name, concentration and whether it is corrosive.
- Operating temperature and whether the material becomes thick or sticky.
- Required material such as SS304, SS316L or other special material.
- Any requirement for polishing, passivation or internal cleanliness.
What This Decides
If the liquid is corrosive, we will check concentration, temperature and working conditions before recommending material and tank structure.
Only Storage, or Storage With Process Function?
Some tanks only hold liquid. Others need mixing, heating, cooling, insulation, weighing, filtration or automatic discharge. If the tank belongs to a production line, it should be designed around the process flow.
Information We Need
- Whether the tank is only for storage or also for processing.
- Need for agitator, baffle, motor power, heating or cooling.
- How material enters and leaves the tank.
- Connection with upstream and downstream equipment.
What This Decides
We can design the tank as part of your process, not just as a container. This affects agitator selection, nozzle layout and discharge performance.
What Capacity and Tank Shape Fit Your Site?
Vertical tanks save floor space and are common for larger fixed installations. Horizontal tanks are better when height is limited or when saddle support is required.
Information We Need
- Required capacity, working volume and reserved headspace.
- Indoor or outdoor installation area.
- Height limit, floor space and foundation condition.
- Need for access platform, ladder or maintenance clearance.
What This Decides
Capacity alone is not enough. Site restrictions decide whether vertical, horizontal or custom support structure is more practical.
Will the Tank Work Under Temperature or Pressure?
Some storage tanks work at atmospheric pressure. Others need vacuum, low pressure, heating jacket, internal coil or insulation to keep the material stable.
Information We Need
- Atmospheric, vacuum or low-pressure working condition.
- Working temperature and temperature change during storage.
- Need for jacket, internal coil, steam heating or electric heating.
- Whether insulation is needed to hold temperature.
What This Decides
Temperature and pressure affect material flow, corrosion risk, sealing design, wall thickness and discharge performance.
Are Hygiene or Cleaning Requirements Important?
For food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic production, internal finish, weld polishing, sanitary fittings and cleanable structure matter a lot.
Information We Need
- Industry use: food, beverage, pharma, cosmetic or chemical.
- Required internal finish and weld polishing level.
- Need for CIP cleaning, spray ball or sanitary outlet.
- Sanitary fittings, manhole type and drain design.
What This Decides
Cleanability affects the internal structure, weld treatment, fittings and outlet design. This should be confirmed before fabrication.
How Will the Tank Be Installed and Connected?
Nozzle position, manhole size, drain point, level gauge, vent, support legs, lifting lugs and pipe connection should match your actual plant layout.
Information We Need
- Nozzle quantity, size and position.
- Manhole, drain, vent, level gauge and instrument ports.
- Support legs, saddle support, lifting lugs or platform needs.
- Transport limit and site access condition.
What This Decides
A good storage tank should be easy to install, easy to clean and easy to maintain after it arrives at your site.

How We Choose the Material
Construction Options
Tank Design Options
Every storage tank can be built with different structural details depending on the medium, process flow, installation space and cleaning requirements. These options should be confirmed before fabrication because they affect performance, maintenance and final cost.
Engineering Configuration Board
Use this checklist to confirm the main structural options before quotation. The right configuration helps the tank fit your process, site layout and long-term operation.
Vertical tanks are often used for larger capacity and limited floor space. Horizontal tanks are suitable for low-height installation or transport-mounted systems.
Installation space, capacity, height limit and foundation condition.
The tank bottom affects drainage, residue control and cleaning. Cone bottom tanks help discharge materials more completely.
Medium viscosity, discharge method, residue allowance and cleaning need.
Some materials need to stay warm or flow smoothly during storage. Jacket, coil, steam heating or electric heating can be added.
Heating medium, target temperature, holding time and whether insulation is needed.
Insulation helps reduce heat loss and keep the material stable during storage, especially for heated tanks or outdoor tanks.
Ambient temperature, storage time, outdoor condition and heat preservation target.

Legs, saddle, base frame, platform, ladder, lifting lugs and foundation details.
Built Around the Actual Storage Condition, Not Just the Tank Name
Storage tank design should start from the real operating condition. Some tanks are atmospheric storage tanks, some are low-pressure tanks, and some may require pressure-rated design depending on the medium, temperature, vapor pressure, vacuum condition and process operation.
Not Every Storage Tank Is a Pressure Vessel.
Before quotation, we first confirm the actual storage condition, then review whether the tank should be treated as a general storage tank, a low-pressure storage tank, or a pressure-rated vessel.
